Taylor's baptism

Taylor was baptized yesterday.  After a lot of contemplating, studying, praying, and talking with others, she decided she had enough faith and understanding to enter the waters of baptism and make covenants with her Heavenly Father.  We're proud of her for not simply doing it to please her parents and giving it serious thought.

It's great to be 8!

Taylor wanted a friend birthday this year.  Her theme was rock star/fashion party.  They started in stations doing hair, makeup, and nails.  Then they each walked down the red carpet and posed for pictures.  After cake and microphone decorated ice cream cones, we played rock n' roll freeze and then sang karaoke.  Even mom and dad got up to sing (poorly), but you'll be lucky to ever see that!

Costumes

We went to our ward Halloween party.  I'm not sure if the kids will dress up again or not since Halloween is on a Sunday.  I didn't get pictures of Taylor and Dani before my camera died, but Dani was a ballerina and Taylor, a Kangaroo.

I wanted Jo to be Elmo, but he wouldn't leave the costume on and it was too hot inside anyway.

Since his favorite word seems to be Spiderman, he was excited to dress up like him.

I was feeling bad that my jacket hadn't been worn since high school, so I got a poodle skirt to match so that I would have an excuse to wear it.

Sam had a hard time deciding which of his costumes to wear.  It was going to be Buzz Lightyear until right before we left when he put on the Dinosaur one.  He even has green lips to match.

What's the occasion?
