First Grade with Mrs. MillIron and Second Grade with Mrs. Downs. I feel like a bad mother for being excited to have my kids back in school, but they've fought so much this summer that I think a little separation will help them to love each other more when they are together.

Corn Harvest
We harvested our first batch of corn this season and it tasted great. We pulled off 36 ears of corn and still have twice as many growing. Wish it would be enough to last all year, but we'll be lucky if it lasts us a whole month.

The Fair
Aunt Kari came down to visit and accompanied us to the Fair. It was very hot, but the kids managed to go on a ride and we watched a Kanagroo show, visited the petting zoo, and walked around the exhibits. We love spending time with Aunt Kari and wish we could do it more often.

Black Canyon
The YW and YM went on a boating trip and we got to tag along. The kids loved playing in the water, but didn't get to do it long enough. They also enjoyed the boat rides. Taylor was brave enough to try tubing and enjoyed it until one of the girls she was with caused it to flip. We only got that with the camcorder. Mark went tubing also. If I hadn't been so sick, I would have loved to have gone.

Random
The kids love to pound on the piano, and if one does it, they all have to. I thought it would make a cute shot when all three of them were up there.
After a long time of having a dead battery, we finally got the tractor fixed and now we can't keep the kids off of it. Taylor was real excited to have caught a butterfly twice. She kept for a little while, then let it go.

Sam pretending to drive the ATV.
Sam in front of the outhouse (we didn't really use it).
Mark and Stacey going for a drive.
Taylor climbing a rock.
The whole family at Tripod.
Sam right before he pulled in a fish.
All tired out.

Fruit
We have a couple friends who have been generous enough to share their fruit with us. I've been making plum and apricot jam the past two days. I'm also trying to dry some. Now if we could only get someone other than just Mark to eat it. One of his patients from work has acres of these flowers and brought some in. The secretary let him bring them home.

Gymnastics
Taylor insisted that she wanted to try gymnastics. I was able to get her in the last 4 weeks of a 10 week course. The first week she absolutely loved it. They had put her in with a class of 5 year olds and they spent a lot of time stretching and doing somersault activities. The second week they moved her up to the class with girls more her own age. The activities were much more advanced and the other girls already knew how to do them. Taylor realized how much more work this was and decided it wasn't for her. She still has two more weeks to go though, so we'll see if she changes her mind.

Grandpa's B-day
Celebrating at my Dad's. Jo loved rocking on the police "car." The kids were also fascinated with their exercise equipment and Sam and Sheri were having a good time pulling the stretcher and then letting go. I'm just surprised no one got hurt. One of their favorite things to do there is play Mario cart, but since most of them haven't figured it out, Grandpa has to come in and get them through the track.
