Carousel

It has become the tradition that every time we go to Salem, Great Grandma and Grandpa take the kids to the carousel. I don't know who looks forward to it more.

At the beach

Any of you who have been to the Oregon Coast know how frigid the water is. We were lucky and found a lake of water on the beach that didn't recede and the water was quite warm and deep enough to swim in. Even Mark got in.

Deep Sea Fishing

Mark's highlight of the trip. He really wanted to go Tuna fishing, but they were all booked, so he had to settle for Salmon. Anyone know how to cook fish?

At the beach house

We're lucky to have relatives with a nice beach house in Lincoln City. Complete with a game room and hot tub. It was vacation enough just staying there.

On the coast

Depoe Bay, Tide Pools, Light house, Sea Lions, birds - all part of the trip.

With Grandma

It was hot for being in Oregon. In the triple digits and no air conditioning. The kids (and grandma) found a way to stay cool. Luckily most of our trip was on the coast where it was much cooler.

Pioneers

A nice family in my mom's ward took us on a hay ride and had a campfire with many pioneer activities. We had a real good time, even when the wagon got stuck It was a true pioneer adventure. The girls especially loved picking wildflowers.

rides

Gotta love the rides at The Enchanted Forest. No picture of the log ride where we all got wet.

Story book Lane and with Abe

While in Oregon we visited the Enchanted Forest with Grandma. Here are a few pictures. In front of Humpty Dumpty, the maze, the crooked house, and the old woman in the shoe (which was a slide).

Multnomah Falls

We tend to stop here every time we go through Oregon. It's just at a convenient point for bathroom breaks. We didn't go up to the bridge this time. It was way too crowded, nor did we feel like carrying any of the kids.
